This movie is ominously prescient, as is Philippe Sands' brilliant book East West Street, on which this film is based.
The 'coincidences' of the book, then and to modern times, are more astonishing and inexplicable perhaps than Philippe Sands appreciates.
Sands is a genuinely brilliant lawyer and author, but I wonder if he understands life and death as profoundly as his family members and ancestors did, and as did the other central heroic transformational characters of the book who lived and suffered and died and grieved directly in and after the Nazi Holocaust.
The more we know death the more we know life.
I urge everyone to read the East West Street book. Energies of convergence are not ‘coincidences’. We are in a transcendent transition, as a human species and collective consciousness.
This book is about the incredible design of the Nuremberg Trials, and in that respect, I’m not aware of anyone more qualified and able than Sands to have produced such a book.
I’ve done a lot of holocaust reading in my time, and please consider there have been other holocausts besides the Nazi Holocaust.
It’s interesting that the USA and British governments resisted and expressed political concerns adopting the term ‘genocide’ because of their positions respectively in the ‘holocausts’ of the Native American Indians, and of African slaves.
And incidentally (not mentioned in the book to my recollection) Britain was the first nation to devise and use concentration camps, in the Boer War, South Africa.
The Nuremberg Trials were an opportunity for, and start of, internationally coordinated cooperation, so that those responsible for mass murder and suffering of people - people as individuals (‘crimes against humanity’) or groups (‘genocide’) - could not escape prosecution, by virtue of their nation or state having a power to inflict harms and killings on its people, or on other people elsewhere.
The book and movie are therefore prescient because of the tendency remaining and persisting into current times for politics and big business (ultimately the biggest banking families and monarchies) to design and exploit austerity and misery and ignorance, so that tyrannical narcissists and cowardly psychopaths rise to power, via fear, lies, distortion of law and language, corruption, censorship, propaganda, and blaming minorities for the economic challenges faced by the masses.
I wonder whose children will look back with similar horror (or denial) compared with that of the sons of the mass murderers featured in this book and film, as the to their own parents' conduct - our political and economic ‘leaders’ of modern times - in the years since the Nazi Holocaust.
We are now looking at the increasing exposing of the lies and more subtle mayhems and democidal killings of poverty, bad nutrition, processed foods, unhealthy lifestyles, EMF radiation and untested electrical technologies, wrongful education, antidepressants, painkillers and other addictive dangerous pharmaceuticals and medical interventions - especially since the 1970s, ratcheting more in the 2000s, with the leveraging of ‘epidemic’ and ‘pandemic’ fear-mongering and particularly the 2019-present Covid lockdowns/restrictions debacle and ‘vaccinations’ psyops (‘nudge theory’, etc), coercions and hysteria: the malfeasance, reckless negligence and incompetence, 'following orders', crimes against humanity, genocide and democide, and likely necessarily new terminology and definitions, because we are into new territory of tyrannical mass murder.
Finally, to end on a high:
Good won a while ago.
Love wins because its energies are infinite - and that’s what all this is about.
Ask yourself why the globalist tyrants are making all this trouble if they’re as powerful as they claim to be? It’s because they know - like the calendar - their days are numbered.
They’ve lost, and increasingly, inevitably, inescapably, they know it :)
